I have always had a keen interest in sports. I started playing football for my local team from the age of 8 and always enjoyed athletics and any sporting activities throughout my childhood.

I have regularly attended the gym to keep in shape since leaving school and I started to increase the intensity of my training at the age of about 28.

I started Circuit Training on a regular basis and then got involved in martial arts due to my son starting Karate and encouraging me to get involved too.

This quickly evolved into full contact martial arts, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) originally and then I found my love of Muay Thai Boxing.

I joined Reaper Thai Boxing Gym in 2012 training under the watchful eye of head coach Steven Broome & assistant coach Dani Fall and have so far had two professional fights.

In my early days of training I was unaware of the benefits of sports massage and it was not until I started fighting that I discovered how much it helped me through my tough training regimes. Training intensively 6 days a week to prepare for fights puts a lot of stress on your body and I have found a weekly massage forms a big part of my fight preparation these days. Not only does it help keep my body and muscles supple, it also helps me to keep injury free. I find it really helps me with the mind game too; allowing me to relax and unwind, whilst improving the quality of my sleep in the process.

I decided to form DF Sport as I have always been fascinated with the human body, self-diagnosis of injuries and with rehabilitation. This combined with my love of sport, it seemed a natural progression to form my own business in Sports Massage Therapy, so I can put both my interests and skills to good use.
